Both [of] us parents interviewed M.Bizub for our children's counseling last year going through my divorce[. W]e were given her name via both our attorneys (which I later found out are some of the oldest practicing here and among the highest paid and [her] friends to boot)[. W]e found her a bit forward about her personal issues and did not see her again.

I already have my kids back, but they were abused for 4 years in their father's care. Marlene lied in her report to the court (I do have one piece of paper in her writing to prove one of the lies), accepted money from my ex behind my back, then told my attorney the bill was paid up--and sent me a bill for over $2000 over 8 months later (when my ex re-hired her to do an "updated" report). Marlene got my collateral contacts twice (she told me she had lost them the first time), and contacted none of them. During the update, Marlene barely even talked to my kids at all, and they were the only ones who could have substantiated any of the claims I'd made which had led to the need for the update. I reported numerous abuses of my children to her, in writing, and she didn't bother to check on any of them. She's horrible.

Marlene IS NOT licensed whatsoever but our “good” judicial system that we have allows her to work with innocent children and work in divorce cases. What kind of madness is this? How many more families can Marlene destroy because of her incompetence? Marlene stated, “She has reported every single abuse case that has been brought forth to her.” This is a downright lie! There were 3 child abuse cases on my case alone that went unreported . . . There are countless attorney’s in [Colorado Springs who won’t use Bizub’s services any longer because they know the truth about her. The only attorney’s who will use Bizub from this point on are attorney’s who are only about winning whether it’s done ethically or not . . . ALL the cases that Marlene Bizub has thus so far worked on NEEDS to be re-heard because Marlene puts our innocent children with the abusers. The Courts motto: “FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD” this is so not true. Marlene is just a cover-up for the 4th Judicial [District]. The courts don’t want to do what’s right by the parents/children who have maliciously been affected by Marlene Bizub. Search the web under Marlene’s name you will find out exactly who she is . . . One last thought, the state Department of Regulatory Agencies (Mental Health Board) won’t touch grievances that are court related this is why and only why the four complaints to the state Department of Regulatory Agencies were "deemed unfounded."

Marlene Bizub is a danger to children in this community . . . many kids . . . have been put through hell thanks to Marlene Bizub!! My own attorney will not use her, because Bizub does not put the child first. She will not return phone calls from other professionals re: situations they deem emergent, for example, child endangerment in my case. She does not return these calls [because] she does not like to be questioned and kids safety be damed [sic.]. Her home visits are a joke, and her billing is fraudulant . . . She is so loud in the halls of the courthouse (showing no respect for case confidentiality or her thoughts on her [collegues]).

I had Marlene on my case and she was not fair at all. She lied to me about everything (she would tell me something and then go do something different then what she said she was going to do), she had another lady doing my visits that wasnt Lic. or new how to do them, Marlene makes things up to make her look so much better in the courts eyes, she looks down on woman [sic.] (something must of happen to her when she was little) everything Marlene did on my case was always about her then [sic.] what's best for the child/ren . . . Once I got Marlene off my case, I got a new lady that cared about my child and saw what was going on and took care of "what" Marlene should of done but not being Lic[ensed] and trained how could Marlene know what to see or what to do in the best interest of the child? . . . She is a mean person on the inside and out; she is a lier [sic.] and doesn't care about anyone but herself. She's not there to help the children out and do what's best for them it's all about herself and making money.

[Marlene Bizub] is BEYOND HORRIBLE at what she does and I'm glad what someone tried to do something about it. A child in my family had visits with his father(a 5 time DUI offender), and on visits his father would not put him in a car seat but on the floor of a van to travel from one point to another. The child told my family members and Marlene was told of the incidents and NOTHING was done! Instead more unsupervised time was recommended to the courts! I honestly know and believe that there have been many many things not properly reported by Ms. Bizub.

Special Advocate (Marlene Bizub) was appointed to our case December 8, 2003 stating that she had degrees with children. Her MA is in Gerontology (Older persona [sic.) and BA in Counseling. She has no expertise, training in children, families, or domestic violence. When Ms. Bizub and I initially met, I gave her character letters from teachers, preachers, family and friends. In court Ms. Bizub stated that she had referenced these witnesses but when the witnesses were asked if Ms. Bizub interviewed them, each witness stated no. Ms. Bizub did home visits with both [my son] and myself. Ms. Bizub stated she was in [my son]’s home for 2 1/2 hours. Upon doing her home visit with me, she stayed 15 minutes because as she stated “she was late for her exercise program“. (An accurate assessment can not be done in 15 minutes).
